About Our School
Needmore Elementary
Needmore Elementary School is located in Marshall Township in Bedford, Indiana. It was originally built in 1986 utilizing native limestone. The school and property provides nature trails, an outdoor amphitheater, nature preserve, and an educational archeological dig site. Needmore is an elementary school with students in grades K-6. Along with our classrooms we have a library, art and music room, gymnasium with a stage, a science lab, speech and language room, and an office area including the nurse's office, principal's office, and conference room. The office area also includes a teacher work room, records room, and technology space. Our school team includes a reading specialist, instructional coach, and student support specialist. We offer an after school care program for families and we provide many extra-curricular activities for our students during the school year. We have community partnerships with the nearby naval base, the local fire department, Boys and Girls Club, the local Lion's Club, as well as other small businesses and churches.
Our school has a strong reputation for competing at high levels in the area of Robotics. Our school has competed and qualified for the state and world finals the past two consecutive years and has placed high in the standings at each level, even taking first place in the state.
